What is ST25 Rice?
SST25 (short for Soc Trang 25) is a fragrant rice variety developed by agricultural engineer Ho Quang Cua and his team, after more than twenty years of careful cross-breeding and field trials. It’s the product of combining traditional Vietnamese fragrant rice lines, refining fragrance, flavour, texture, and growing performance.
Its birthplace is Soc Trang Province, part of the lush Mekong Delta, where the soil, climate, and water conditions are ideal for premium fragrant rice.
What Makes ST25 So Special
Texture & Grain Quality - Long, translucent grains with minimal breakage. When cooked, they turn pure white with a pandan-like aroma, yielding a soft, fluffy texture—lightly chewy yet pleasantly distinct and separate.
Growing Methods & Environment - ST25 crops are grown in rotation or intercropped with shrimp farming, which naturally enriches the soil, and clean farming practices are followed.
International Recognition - ST25 has won the “World’s Best Rice” at The Rice Trader competition (2019 and again in 2023), placing it among the top fragrant rices globally.
